Land in Isinya

This 47 acre piece is located 6 kilometers from Isinya town, along Pipeline road (which connects Isinya town to Kiserian town), and then 1.5 kilometers off Pipeline road. The economic activities within this area are agriculture and livestock herding. The land is fertile with a functional borehole. The indigenous people owning large parcels of land are mainly pastoralists and herders. None indigenous Kenyans from other regions and foreigners who have purchased land around Isinya specialize in horticulture farming for local markets in Nairobi city, its environs and the export markets. Isinya / Kiserian (Pipeline Road) are warming up to take the place that is held by Juja and Ruiru townships, on the other side of the Nairobi metropolitan area. Isinya and Kiserian are among the top economic arteries of the county, with great interest in land, which was previously grazing land, by investors who are subsequently turning the area into a profitable hub. About 10 years ago after land in Athi River, Kitengela and Ongata Rongai started becoming too expensive and scarce, land buying companies shifted to Isinya and Kiserian. This has transformed the area and also brought in visitors who have commercialized the towns, and other shopping centers along Pipeline Road economically. Middle class citizens are eager to invest in small parcels of land in the outskirts of Nairobi, and are increasingly turning to urban farming in greenhouses. The new settlers are influencing infrastructure development and markets in the areas where they sell and buy farm products. The land demand along Pipeline Road has gone up compared to land in other areas within Nairobi metropolitan driving the prices higher.
